For airlines around the world, “vegetarian meal” usually equates to “melt some cheese and vegetables together”. Cheese often plays a significant role in vegetarian diets, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a sensible option, especially if there’s an ethical base to your choice to forego meat.

The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that one in every 200 school-age kids abstain from eating meat.
There are no official statistics on the number of kids who are vegan — meaning they don’t eat any animal products, not even dairy or eggs. But experts believe the number is growing.
“A generation ago, it was quite unusual,” said Dr. Neal Barnard, founder of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which advocates for vegan and low-fat vegetarian school lunches. “Nowadays, kids do it for political reasons, environmental reasons, animal rights reasons.”

How long have you guys been ve*gans?
(Any lifelong ve*gans?)

I have an aunt that keeps trying to put chicken broth in whatever I eat! It’s so disgusting!
I’m so happy that I don’t really like dressing, otherwise I would have been eating it all along.
She cooked it in a separate pan and didn’t put meat in it so I would eat it, but put chicken broth in it because she thinks I ‘need protein’.
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
